The Creative Web

Personal digital devices such as cameras and mobile phones, along with Web 2.0 technologies, have made the development and sharing of creative work accessible to anyone with an internet connection. There are many possibilities for online sharing of visual and rich media including photographs, illustrations, audio and video formats. These technologies can be used by teachers and learners for educational applications, using freely available web tools. If you would like your students to be creative on the web, the possibilities are more limitesd, particularly in NSW public schools.

Having looked at some of the available tools, what do you think could be useful for you and your students? What do you think about managing student blogging (eg privacy, security)? What do you think about the DET approach to managing internet safety for students?
